Kim was born not only on the same day, but just five minutes before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Every year, the Nobel Peace Prize is presented on her birthday—December 10. Since discovering this inspirational connection, she has had the honor of attending the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremonies in Oslo, Norway—twice.
